Something magical is already stirring beneath the surface…
The Yarntopians have revealed the theme for their 2026 installation, and as part of Jumpers and Jazz in July, we’re heading deep into an underwater world with Submerged.
Flowing textures. Curious sea creatures. Layers of colour inspired by life below the waves. This large-scale indoor installation will once again take over its dedicated festival space, immersing visitors in a handcrafted world built entirely from yarn.
A Collective Creation
Each year, this incredible group of volunteers brings an imaginative yarn installation to life inside one of the festival’s feature buildings. Contributions come from near and far, with every handmade piece forming part of a much bigger creative vision.
From experienced crafters to first-time stitchers, everyone plays a role.
For 2026, the call is out to help build Submerged with:
- Sea squares
- Sand squares
- Seashells
- Neon jellyfish
- Deep-sea inspired creations
Every square, shell and stitched creature adds depth and movement to what will become an immersive underwater experience in Warwick in July 2026.
Get Involved
As we head into the cooler months, now is the perfect time to start stitching.
The Yarntopians welcome creative hands of all skill levels. Working bees and planning meetings will take place in the lead-up to the festival, offering plenty of opportunity to connect, create and contribute.
This is community art at its finest — thoughtful, detailed and entirely volunteer-driven.
