Well Swung Daddies

The WellSwung Daddies are Neo Retro Swing Band that play a mixture of arrangements from the Swing Band Big Band era with 10/11 members including a 4/5 piece horn section, male and female vocals, double bass, guitar, piano, and drums. They play in the style of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue, Brian Setzer Orchestra, George Gee Swing Orchestra, Lavay Smith‘s Red Hot Skillet Lickers and Cherry Poppin Daddies.They bring a unique style to original songs and big band classics made famous by the Great Gatsby era and the prohibition years. Bands such as Brian Setzer Orchestra, Louis Jordan, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles.
The arrangements are transcribed and arranged from original recordings and selected for their modern interpretation of Neo Swing, Jive, Rock n Roll, Lindy Hop and Jazz.
The Daddies have appeared at the Manly Jazz Festival 2014, Warwick Jumpers and Jazz Festival 8 years, Cooly Rocks On Festival, The Tweed Valley Jazz Club, Twin Towns, The Doo-Bop Jazz Club Brisbane, The Gold Coast City Jazz Club, The Brisbane Jazz Club, The Gangster Ball at the Tivoli Brisbane and The Gold Coast Jazz & Blues Club.
