Best known as the house band behind the long-running and beloved “Colonel’s Blues Jam,” Mark D’s Big Three has become a standout act in the Australian blues scene. Their 2020 album Four Men & a Dog made a significant impact on the ABARAC national blues airplay chart, cementing their reputation as one of the hardest-hitting blues acts around.
With two strong vocalists, Mark D and Mike Frost, and a shared passion for classic post-war electric blues, the band also incorporates a touch of West Coast jump and swing. Featuring a lineup that includes Tom Matthews and Geoff Parsons — a group that’s been together for years — their tight grooves and infectious energy guarantee plenty of dance-floor action.
