Knitted Nancy is a tribute to a slightly old fashioned, nostalgic image of Australiana. She is like a big warm hug from a favourite Grandmother or Aunty that you visit over lots of cups of tea, yummy biscuits and cakes and listen to stories of Australian animals on all sorts of marvellous adventures.I first performed Knitted Nancy at the Jumpers and Jazz festival in 2013.

Knitted Nancy has been a regular part of the Jumpers and Jazz festival ever since.

 “My work is about creating magical, humorous characters that are larger than life. I love to make work that makes people laugh, makes them ponder and takes them out of their lives for a moment on a fantastical journey into imaginary  worlds where anything is possible and all is definitely cheesy.”

Knitted Nancy will be featuring at Leslie Park during Saturday Stroll & Swing and at various places throughout the  Warwick CBD 11am – 1.30pm
